I followed an ad on some nut-job, right-wing, Canadian website. (Who knew?) The ad led me to a page that reads just like the nut-job website: Lots of conspiratorial undertones and a mystifying distrust of experts. But it's much more than that. Oh yes, it's ROM - the 4-minute CrossTrainer. Also, it's a goddamn goldmine of outrageous bullshit!
I took this quote right from the front page: "...the ROM 4 minute workout [is] the absolute least expensive method of exercise available for all income groups above the poverty line."
It's $14,615.
If you're concerned about the price, don't worry, there's a shit-load of perfectly sensible explanations for it at www.whyisitsoexpensive.com. Here's one right here:
"It takes a little math to explain. So pay attention please: If the average owner of a ROM machine is a household of 2 people and those two people can expect to live at least another 30 years, then they will use the ROM at least for 18,000 4 minute uses. This means that the $14,615 ROM divided by 18,000 uses costs 81 cents in terms of money and only 4 minutes cost of time per use. There is absolutely no form of exercise available that is less expensive."
Holy shit, I've been overpaying!
